📱 Does Road Tripy require internet or WiFi?
No! Road Tripy works 100% offline. After downloading from the App Store, you never need an internet connection to play. Perfect for road trips where cell service might be spotty!
🎮 What games are included?
Road Tripy includes three games:
- License Plate Hunt: Spot and collect all 50 US state license plates
- Car Color Bingo: Get 4 colors in a row by spotting matching cars
- I Spy Challenge: Find 50+ items commonly seen on road trips
👶 What age is Road Tripy appropriate for?
Road Tripy is designed for kids ages 4-12. The games are simple enough for young children but engaging enough for older kids. Parents can help younger children learn the games.
💰 Are there any in-app purchases or subscriptions?
No! Road Tripy is a one-time purchase with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or hidden costs. All three games and features are included.
📊 How is my progress saved?
All game progress is automatically saved to your device. Your spotted states, bingo progress, and I Spy items are preserved between game sessions. You can reset progress anytime using the "Reset All Progress" button in Settings.
🔄 Can I reset my progress?
Yes! Go to Settings (gear icon on home screen) and tap "Reset All Progress" to start fresh. This will clear all game data including spotted states, bingo cards, and I Spy items.
📱 What devices work with Road Tripy?
Road Tripy works on iPhone and iPad running iOS 13.0 or later. It's optimized for all screen sizes.
🚗 Can multiple kids play on the same device?
Yes! Kids can take turns or play cooperatively. However, progress is shared across all users on the same device. For individual progress tracking, each child would need their own device.
🌐 Is Road Tripy available in other languages?
Currently, Road Tripy is available in English only. We're considering adding more languages in future updates based on user feedback.
🔊 Can I turn off sound effects?
Yes! Go to Settings and toggle off "Sound Effects" to play silently. Animation effects can also be disabled if desired.
🔒 Is Road Tripy safe for kids?
Absolutely! Road Tripy:
- Contains no ads
- Has no in-app purchases
- Collects no personal data
- Works offline (no internet required)
- Has no social features or chat
- Contains no external links
🎨 How does Car Color Bingo work?
Car Color Bingo shows you a 4×4 grid of random colors. When you spot a car matching a color on your card, tap it! Get 4 colors in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) to win BINGO. You can generate new cards anytime and track color statistics.
🗺️ Do I have to find ALL 50 states in License Plate Hunt?
No! The game is designed to be played over multiple trips. Some states (like Hawaii and Alaska) are rare to find depending on where you're traveling. Just spot what you can and enjoy learning about each state!
🔍 What items are in the I Spy Challenge?
There are 50+ items across 6 categories:
- Animals: Cows, horses, deer, birds, etc.
- Vehicles: Trucks, buses, motorcycles, RVs, etc.
- Landmarks: Bridges, barns, windmills, churches, etc.
- Transportation: Planes, trains, boats, helicopters
- Signs: Gas stations, rest areas, traffic lights, etc.
- Nature: Rainbows, sunsets, mountains, rivers, etc.

Troubleshooting
⚠️ The app isn't loading or is frozen
Try these steps:
- Force quit the app (swipe up from bottom and swipe Road Tripy away)
- Restart your device
- Make sure you have the latest iOS version installed
- Delete and reinstall the app (your progress may be lost)
❓ I accidentally deleted my progress!
Unfortunately, once progress is reset or the app is deleted, there's no way to recover it. Game data is stored locally on your device only and cannot be restored. This is part of our privacy-first approach - we don't store your data on our servers.
🔄 How do I update the app?
Updates are delivered through the App Store. Open the App Store app, tap your profile icon, and scroll down to see available updates. You can enable automatic updates in Settings → App Store → App Updates.
